“Service and atmosphere are really good. We definitely felt welcomed and even were given the halal menu. Maybe a bit too much on selling us dishes. The complimentary bread was really nice and a good touch. Calamari and lamb sausage also lovely. We both got sirloin steak, which we had to send back because it was raw – it came back on the cooked side of medium but because the meat is so thick, I feel it’s hard to get the temperature right throughout the steak- fat could also have been rendered a little better. Bearnaise tasted like warm butter so not ideal. Chimchurri sauce was nice. Chips were as expected- nice and crunchy but unsalted. Our total bill was £85 but we had a voucher for £20 so it was £65 which I feel is quite pricey. Location is great but we’re let down by the food- maybe we had tall expectations. Teetering between 3 or 4 stars, the service did make a difference in making us feel welcome.

“I have been here several times now, and my 5* review stands as it is. In fact, the service we received when we went most recently was so amazing that I would class this as a 6 star place (if it were a thing).
My original review: A wonderful steak place. The menu is plentiful in options even for halal eating guests. The atmosphere is very cosy on the inside and service is excellent. Definitely recommend a visit here, can’t go wrong with choosing anything on the menu here from my experience.

“Really enjoyed dining at this restaurant. It is very inclusive and one of the only places I’ve been able to dine at which offers not only a halal roast but an affordable one. They cater for both halal and non-halal food which I think is very thoughtful as we regularly find ourselves not being able to dine at places which look nice due to lack of halal food available. If I could give them more stars I would! Will definitely be back!

“Visited Steak on the Green in Ealing on April 5th for my birthday with a group of seven after seeing great reviews online, but sadly it didn’t quite live up to the hype.
The food was okay, the steak was fine, but nothing special. For the price, we expected more. Service at the start was polite, though a bit rushed. The main issue was at the end when we had a small card issue that was quickly resolved, but the staff member seemed annoyed and walked off without a word, right after my parents had paid a fair bit for the meal. We just thought that was rude — not the kind of service you expect at that price point.
The restaurant does offer a halal menu, which is useful for those who need it. Also, worth noting there’s no on-site parking, so we used Springbridge Multi Storey, about a 5-minute walk away.
Overall, not a terrible experience, but I wouldn’t visit again in general or for a special occasion.

“Great family friendly atmosphere and great food with attentive, down to earth service. We ate from the Halal menu and in no way felt limited by the options available.

“The food overall was good and very glad they have a full and separate halal menu, I should have got medium for my steak as I felt my medium well was slightly more on the well side but still tasted good nonetheless . The French beans were very tasty as was the complimentary bread to start, a nice touch. I ordered creme brûlée for my dessert – this could probably be shared between 2-3, it’s not large but extremely rich and creamy, was too much for me.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my fillet steak from the halal menu. Cooked as I wished, which was medium to well done, juicy and succulent on the inside with a crisp outside. The garlic butter was a divine addition and better than a garlic sauce. I think the pomme frites could have done with a bit more body/substance but they weren’t bad. Service was good and kept things coming smoothly. Complimentary bread was a tasty with a hot and spicy butter.

“Firstly want to say one of my favourite meals I’ve had. I couldn’t split what was my favourite part of the meal because everything just tasted amazing.
Oysters come in pairs of two. Very refreshing and slides off the shell perfectly. It was displayed and presented beautifully.
Calamari was light and fluffy and never felt chewy. The portion size was good.
Finally the tuna tartare which suprised me. I was thrown away with how flavourful the bite was and again presented very well.
The main reason we came here was to try the wagyu steak and oh boy it hit the top of my list of steaks I’ve had. The way the steak was cooked perfectly, cut perfectly and tasted was exceptional. We got this with the truffle bearnaise which I will highly recommend. Just based off the steak alone I would come here again.
Finally we move on to desert and they did it again. Chocolate fondant was perfect. The balance with the outer layer chocolate woth the melted chocolate inside accompanied by the ice cream made it a beautiful end to what was an amazing meal.
The restaurant is situated right next to a station so travelling here by train was simple, the area surrounding the restaurant was really nice and you can go enjoy a little walk around the area.
Pricing a bit high but we did order the pricier cuts. With price came quality so for me it was worthwhile.
Waiters are very attentive and made sure to check up throughout if we needed anything. Very caring and made the experience great.
For me I will highly recommend this place to anyone, what’s even better is they provide a halal menu which just shows the care towards halal eaters. Loved this place and thanks steak on the green for the awesome meal.
