Are Maltesers Halal?

We went on the Maltesers website to see if their products were Halal, the website did not specifically have any information about Halal but did have some information about vegetarian products. The website stated:

“Are your products suitable for Vegetarians?

Yes, our range of products is suitable for vegetarians. We recommend always checking for our “suitable for vegetarians stamp” located on the packaging.”

According to the above FAQ available on the Maltesers website states their products are ok for vegetarians.

We would caution Muslim consumers to check the label to spot the Vegetarian symbol on the product as this is more likely to be a Halal product as long as there is no large amounts of alcohol in the product.
