Ali Banat was born in Australia in February, 1982 to a Muslim family. He lived all his life in Australia until his death in May 2018.

Life of Ali Banat until diagnosis of cancer

Ali Banat was a blessed man at a young age. At 29 years of age, he was already the owner of two very successful businesses and was earning endless riches. He was the sort of guy who showed off his wealth and riches on social media. His endless range of expensive watches, branded perfumes, fleet of sport cars and luxury lifestyle was no secret. He earned a lot of money and spent equally as much but only in indulging in luxuries of life. This was until one day he was diagnosed with mouth cancer at stage 4 and his life changed in every possible meaning of the word.

Stage 4 cancer diagnosis

Almost 3 years ago, events took an unexpected and life changing turn for Ali Banat when he was diagnosed with stage 4 of a terminally spreading mouth cancer. The cancer had reached a point where it was beyond cure. The doctors informed Ali that he only had 6 or 7 months to live.

There is nothing worse than being told that your life is coming to an end. We all know that death is indeed the ultimate reality but we tend to take it for granted. The reality only hits us hard on the head when we are told that we don’t have time to live any longer. This is the moment when your past life flashes in front of your eyes and you realize you did nothing worthy enough to take you ahead in the world & hereafter or stand in front of Allah on the Day of Judgment.

Ali Banat experienced the same. He sat multiple interviews after his diagnosis in which he revealed how he saw his world flip upside down in a matter of seconds after being told that he is dying. By the grace of God, he was spared 3 years to live which was no less than a miracle in itself. But what matters most is that he made his last 3 years of suffering turn into a life lesson for everyone to learn from!

Life of Ali Banat in the last 3 years

Ali Banat titled his stage 4 cancer ‘A gift from Allah’. Ali Banat celebrated his cancer rather than mourning the early arrival of his death. He knew he was going to die but he felt blessed throughout the last 3 years because he felt that Allah had given him this time to re-evaluate and understand the real meaning of human life.

He was a blessed with a lot of wealth at a young age but hadn’t it been for cancer, he would never have realized that the wealth Allah blesses you with is meant to be spending in HIS way by helping his needy beings rather than spending it on expensive watches and sports cars. Allah could have made him die that very instant and he would never be able to realize or do any good.

Hence, he treated cancer as a gift and a blessing and dedicated the last few years of his life for charitable causes and helping thousands of needy people around the world in many countries like Ghana, Africa, Togo and Ethiopia.

He died on May 29, 2018 after his mouth cancer had painfully spread through his body in all parts of his bones and organs.
