Are Pop Tarts Halal
Edited By Staff Writer, Halal Incorp
Pop‑Tarts are sweet, rectangular toaster pastries with a pop-tart crust externally & a sugary filling on the inside. This treats are served toasted (or straight from the foil), they come in a variety of flavours great for a quick breakfast or snack when you need something convenient & indulgent.

We visited the Pop Tarts website to see if their products were Halal, it stated:
“Are Pop Tarts Halal?
At this time, no Pop-Tarts® products sold in the United States or Canada are certified as Halal.
Are Pop Tarts Vegan?
We do not label most of our foods vegetarian or vegan because there are varying definitions for the term “Vegetarian.”
- Vegetarians may or may not choose to eat poultry, fish, dairy products, or eggs.
- Some vegans accept honey while others do not.
Therefore, we encourage you to review the ingredient label to determine if specific foods meet your individual needs.”
Pop Tarts are not Halal certified. Tree Hugger states:
“Every frosted variety contains non-vegan gelatin. According to its parent company, Kellogg’s, the gelatin in Pop-Tarts made in the United States comes from by-products of the beef industry. “
Therefore please check ingredients label before purchasing to make sure the pop Tart product does not contain gelatin.
