Expo Halal Spain is a 2 day event which was held from the 10th of November to the 11th of November 2016 at the Feria de Madrid in Madrid, Spain last week. The expo allowed traders and customers to gain an overview of some of the specialist products and services available within the market. The expo aimed to help customers and visitors discover the latest trends and new features in the Halal industry, both in Spain and across the world.
The event aimed to help companies develop and enhance business networks. There were opportunities for B2B sales and platforms for meetings to be undertaken between suppliers and buyers. The event also provided opportunities to build and further enhance existing relationships between businesses. The Halal expo emphasised the importance of Halal products within the Islamic economy and provided potential opportunities for exploration and partnership working.
Halal Expo Spain focussed on the food, tourism and lifestyle sectors within the broader Halal sector and markets. The expo was organised by Amber Connect and was sponsored by mainstream players such as Turkish Airlines and alBaraka. The expo included a range of exhibitors selling products and services such as modest art fashion from Iran, Halal vitamins, travel packages, meat, specialised teas, modest fashion such as abayas, urban caps, spices, sauces, meats as well as Islamic heritage stands.
The London Muslim Lifestyle show was also present at the expo as an exhibitor, which is due to take place in April, 2017 at the Olympia in London, UK. A modest catwalk fashion show took place exhibiting a range of designer wear and modest brands as well as apparel. There were also panel discussions and international media present at the event which showcased a diverse range of traders across Spain as well as internationally.
