What does the funding cover?
- 100% of the National Minimum Wage (or the National Living Wage depending on the age of the participant) for 25 hours per week for a total of 6 months
- associated employer National Insurance contributions
- employer minimum automatic enrolment contributions
The scheme allows employers to employ young people aged between 16-24 who are on Universal Credit. The company also gets £1500 grant per placement taken on. HI provide wrap around and employability support at a charge of 50% of the grant. This money is to help provide employability support for people on placement i.e. support with personal development.
