One of the companies Halal Incorp is representing is called EAE Tutoring based in Luton. The company provides tutoring services for young people in various subjects. Halal Incorp made EAE Tutoring aware of the event which took place at Barnfield College Enterprise Way organised by Parvin Rahman from the DWP.

The Luton Kickstart Career Fair was a great success and our clients EAE Tutoring were able to meet candidates and successfully offered a role to one young person.

As a National Gateway Halal Incorp is working with companies based in London, Luton, Milton Keynes, Bradford, Manchester, Leeds etc. We provide a tailored high quality service to our clients and work with DWP colleagues to help the scheme run smoothly.

The Kickstart scheme is an exciting new government programme which was launched to raise funding for young adults between the age of 16-24, who are currently obtaining universal credit. The main purpose of this scheme is to ensure that young people who are currently unemployed/struggling to find employment are not at risk of facing long term unemployment.

The scheme began in September 2020 and is due to end in December 2021, with all employers being eligible to apply; they just have to prove that they have a new job roles for an employee that meets the scheme requirements (aged between 16-24 and in receipt of universal credit). The job role must be a minimum of at least 25 hours per week for a period of 6 months, and in return the employer will receive up to £1500 in funding depending on employability support, as well as the government covering the minimum wage payment to the employer.

You can apply for the scheme via a Kickstart National Gateway such as Halal Incorp. Halal Incorp can process the application on behalf of the employer with the DWP (department for Work and Pensions). Once the grant agreement has been approved, the process for hiring new employees begins with the DWP. The employer will need to produce job descriptions that will be sent to the DWP, who will then send them to work coaches at the local Jobcentre plus. The work coaches will identify candidates for the role and make appropriate selections for interview.
