“Definitely a hidden gem. Small space but great food. The grilled steak panini was delicious and tender and the crème brûlée French toast was perfect (not too sweet like most North American desserts). Bonus: it’s also halal.

“Pictured: Spicy lamb flatbread & salted caramel drink
Made a post on this spot before, but went again recently and ordered different items so here we are again!
Location: 1119 Newkirk Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, 11230
(Not ideal to find parking)
Ambiance: 8/10 – outdoor seating is cute and simple with umbrellas for shade. Tables were a bit dirty which was very unpleasant.
Price: 7/10 – the spicy flatbread was $15 and salted caramel drink was $11.
Menu: this is mainly a brunch/lunch spot so their menu is pretty decent with various options to choose from. Loved the spicy lamb flatbread and would give it a 8/10. The ground lamb topped with their special tapenade was delicious. Unfortunately the drink was not good at all (3/10) – only points for presentation. Tasted like water and was extremely disappointing. Maybe it was just not made properly but it was definitely had no salted caramel taste whatsoever. Don’t recommend this drink in particular but I have had their other drinks which are definitely worth a try

“I was really excited about the Hello Gorgeous platter and the breakfast tacos but it was bland. The watermelon mint juice was good. I don’t think the quality and taste of the food is worth the price. I do appreciate that the meat is halal and they have a nice atmosphere.

“A perfect date spot. Whether at night or day time.
Awesome setting loved the wood themed restaurant
Cool menu and its HALAL.
Coffee is great. I had a latte
Salad with chicken. Perfect portions.
Wife had french toast. Was not too bad. Was not OVERLY sweet which is good.
Its a simple chill out spot. Not to be loud at. Just come and relax.
There is seating outside too, if the weather permits it.”

“A good halal brunch spot. I wish they had clearly displayed halal sign on venue. Their website says it’s halal.
We have tried different items during our couple of visits. From our most recent visit we loved lychee juice. Pouched eggs with smoked salmon was good. Chicken wrap was delicious. Creme burlee French taste, though it tasted good not that sweet but they were missing Creme burlee touch, we were expecting it to be filled with custard and have some caramelized sugar toppings. It’s better to call it loaded french toast then Creme burlee. Would definitely go back to explore more. Loved the interior after renovation. Washroom was very clean. They have outside covered seating too. Finding parking was not that bad as we went on Thursday morning. Good food with good ambiance but little on pricey side. We paid $88 for 3 orders and 3 drinks. On a 2nd thought not that bad.

“I have been going Milk and Honey for the past 4 years and I want to say that this might be my favorite restaurant in all of NYC. I marvel at how the menu continues to expand over the years while still retaining amazing taste. It is centrally located in the Ditmas park area, which makes for quite the scene on weekends (a diverse community flocks over to enjoy it all).
Each main entree costs around $16-$20 and the drinks can cost between $6-$10. There is great value and we should all do what we can to support local businesses.
Share the spicy lamb flatbread (something we got on our very first visit in 2021 and continue to get each time).
