The resumption follows the UK Civil Aviation Authority’s approval of PIA’s Foreign Aircraft Operating Permit, after the airline successfully obtained Third Country Operator & ACC3 cargo security certifications.

Pakistani International Airlines’s European ban was declared in June 2020 following a fatal Karachi air crash, but these new clearances directives restored global confidence in the PIA’s safety and reliability.
