On the 12th May, 2025 we contacted Papa Johns and asked them if their food was Halal or not, they responded and stated:
“Good afternoon
Thank you for getting in touch with your enquiry regarding the halal status of our products.
At Papa Johns, we remain committed to our ‘Better Ingredients. Better Pizza.’ promise. When sourcing our meat, our priority is on maintaining high standards of animal welfare, food safety, and quality. We do not specifically request halal-certified meat from our suppliers.

All of our meat suppliers operate in accordance with strict EU animal welfare regulations, which require that animals are stunned prior to slaughter to ensure humane treatment. This is a widely recognised industry standard and is followed by major food retailers and restaurant chains across the UK.

While we do not actively seek halal certification, it is possible that some of the meat products supplied to us may meet halal criteria. At present, the only product on our menu that could be classed as halal is our Chicken Poppers side. We can confirm that all other meat toppings and chicken wings are not halal.
