Halal Incorp Participates In Erasmus +
Two representatives from Halal Incorp participated in an Erasmus + project which took place in the island of Tenerife, canary islands.
The project was hosted by MOJO DE CAÑA which is an international organisation based in the Canary Islands.
Mojo de Caña is a non profit organization founded in 2001, consolidated as a provider of services to youth, a
volunteering entity, and a collaborating entity in the provision of Social Services of the Government of the
Canary Islands.
Its values consist of promoting and strengthening education in prosocial altruistic values; gender equity,
tolerance and multiculturalism , solidarity and respect for the environment, associative movement , and
prevention (drug addiction, violence, social exclusion).

Currently, Mojo de Caña manages, organizes, produces and promotes many activities of all kinds: artistic and sociocultural shows, circus festivals, street and performing arts, leisure and free time workshops, activities and projects with schoolchildren, environmental education camps, seminars, conferences and training sessions, and social programs and projects aimed at families, children, youth at risk of social
exclusion.
The project was called “Be & Let THEM BE” a project of ERASMUS+, training of youth workers which consisted of an exchange of good practices and finding common points in youth work preventing the radicalization of local youth, using nonformal education as a framework of learning facilitation and transformation of communities.
The project allowed team working to take place, workshops to be facilitated as well as presentations and tools which were shared around the project topics. TOOLshaton was used as a means of engagement amongst participant’s.
The project results and experiences were disseminated amongst various channels. Halal Incorp undertook internal workshops and wrote an article sharing experiences with wider networks and acting as a multiplier. Erasmus + provides amazing opportunities for professionals and practitioners to gain new experiences and increase knowledge.
